Over 10 years of designing, fabricating, building and managing Comic-con booths has taught us more about trade shows than we could have ever imagined. As not only one of the largest shows in North America (250k attendees –NYCC 2018) but also one of the most demanding trade shows for exhibitors – New York Comic-con takes an army.

We’ve watched countless exhibitors stressed beyond their breaking point before the show doors even open. Last minute calls for professional help is not a good tactic but is, unfortunately, one we see too often. Point being; Comic-con is no a solo job. We’ve discovered things like; having a dedicated account rep curbs the “lost in translation” that surfaces when designing and fabricating. Having an on-site event manager means someone to dump on, someone to hold accountable and above all else – someone to have confidence in.

We’ve also learned comic-con booth design competition is stiff! If your booth isn’t popping in some fashion, you might as well not exhibit at all. That’s why we offer unlimited designs until we get it right.

Many of our comic-con clients not only exhibit at Comic-con but a variety of shows throughout the year. We adjusted our capabilities to accommodate modular exhibits which allow them to adjust size, shape and design at each stop on their trade show calendar.

Although it puts on the appearance of a giant party, we know comic-con is a high stakes business with very serious consequences and even bigger rewards.

First setting foot on the Comic-Con show floor over 10 years ago, Marketing Genome was founded by two marketers with a passion for creating immersive experiences in a world with evolving trends. Today, we continue to expand and serve all major U.S. cities including Anaheim, Orlando, Chicago, Las Vegas, Boston, and of course San Diego and New York City.
